hackney wick festWe will be encouraging the young people of our wonderful land of Hackney to demand their dreams and shout them loud at our banner and placard making workshop. A march around the green at 4.30 will end the day with a rousing rally, music and speeches.

Immortalise yourself  in wood and add your demands to our peg doll demonstration, a growing force to be reckoned with.

Acoustic tunes supplied by Mr Mischief Music Maker, Dan Farrow.

Idea 2-filtered

If you missed us at the Big Chill 2009 then please come along and join us at the Hackney Wick Festival on Saturday 26th September 2009 1-5pm. The Mischief Makers will be taking Protest Camp to the Festival where we will be running a cloth-banner making workshop whilst our peg doll protest gathers momentum outside of our tent. We will be leading a march around the site at 4pm which will give everyone a great opportunity to wave banners, shout into megaphones and cause mischief in the Wick. Come along and get your wants and desires heard.

This is the second year that the Hackney Wick Festival has taken place and it is bound to be a really fun family day out. The festival activities will be taking placing around the Trowbridge Estate, Eastway, London E9. Protest Camp will be situated on the ‘village green’ in the centre of the estate where there will also be a host of other activities taking place by other artists and community groups. The village green has a large climbing frame and a children’s playground.

What do we want? Protest Camp! When do we want it? Now! Where do we want it? Hackney Wick……………
