Mischief Makers is an arts education project by visual artists Nicola Godlieb and Sarah Conway-Dyer.
We aim to create idea-driven, conceptual arts projects for children and young people that utilise and respond to the environment and users of a given space. Mischief Makers aim is to empower and inspire young people through educative and original visual art projects with an aim to extend the boundaries of traditional children’s art practice. Each project will involve children from the conception stage through to realisation, with an emphasis on enjoying not just the process but the history and context of the chosen art form. Projects will take influence from such art forms as installation, intervention and site-specific work, which will necessarily bring young people’s artwork out of schools and community centres into the public realm. It is our belief that children have huge untapped creative potential and Mischief Makers intention is to engage them in a fun and inspiring range of innovative projects.
